Trichromacy

Color vision defined in 3 dimensions (generally, have 3 different types of Cones). Trichromats need 3 primary colors to represent all of the colors in the Gamut of a Color Normal human.

Trichromacy is actually quite rare in the animal kingdom, being the Color Vision of Primates, Marsupials and some insects.
