Hue

One dimension of common Color Spaces such as HSV and HSL, generally represented as a number in degrees between 0 and 360, where:

  • 0° = Red
  • 30° = Orange
  • 60° = Yellow
  • 120° = Green
  • 180° = Cyan
  • 240° = Blue
  • 300° = Magenta
  • 330° = (Hot) Pink
  • 360° = Red

Generally, only the Hue dimension is necessary to name a color and the Saturation and Brightness dimensions can be disregarded, which makes it a powerful tool for the colorblind once the values in the above list can be memorized.
