is the ability of organisms to move directionally in response to a light source. Even organisms as simple as bacteria exhibit phototaxis, and therefore can be described as having ‘sight’. Phototaxis is often used to test the behavior of some animals to light after their vision has been modified. See Behavioral Testing.
