Grating

A pattern of two alternating colors. The period (spacing) and amplitude (contrast between the colors) can be varied. Gratings can be used for many purposes, but are generally used to measure Contrast Sensitivity. It is an alternative to Flicker Tests, which alternately flash two colors, instead of arranging them spatially.
